Life, Home and Community Groups Compared and Explained

by on October 10, 2011

Life Groups and Home Groups are similar, yet each has a different purpose. Life Groups are easy opportunities for people with similar demographics to meet each other outside of the church building. These groups meet three to four times per year. The main focus is to meet new people and reconnect with others in the Roseville Lutheran community that you may have not seen for a while for a variety of reasons.

Community Groups meet monthly for a time to connect with others socially usually over a meal, a movie, a service opportunity or for just conversation. They meet at homes or at church. Community Groups connect people more deeply in relationship with one another and with Jesus Christ.

Home Groups are small groups of 8-12 people that meet in homes weekly for five to ten weeks to study and converse about a book or Bible scriptures. Home Groups strengthen and deepen relationships beyond, “How are you?” and “What’s your name?” while growing in relationship with Jesus Christ.
